Motorists across the United Arab Emirates will pay less at filling stations starting Sunday, November 1, following a fresh monthly price reduction. The national Fuel Price Committee announced price cuts across all grades of petrol and diesel compared with October benchmarks.
The downward adjustment marks the first domestic fuel price decline in four months, breaking three consecutive cycles of rising pump costs. The price revision offers immediate financial relief to vehicle owners, delivery fleets, and public transport operators throughout the country.
Retail Fuel Breakdown for November
Under the newly approved rates, Super 98 petrol drops to Dh4.16 per litre, down from Dh4.40 in October. This represents a decline of approximately 5.5 per cent across high-performance retail pumps.
Special 95, the most widely used grade among private motorists, falls to Dh4.04 per litre compared with Dh4.28 last month. Drivers using E-Plus 91 will see retail prices dip to Dh3.97 per litre, falling below the four-dirham threshold from October's Dh4.21.
Commercial transport operators also benefit from a modest decrease in fuel overhead. Retail diesel prices will drop by 5 fils, declining to Dh4.75 per litre from Dh4.80 during the previous month.
Market Dynamics Defy High Crude Benchmarks
The price decline arrived as a pleasant surprise to financial analysts and industry observers following steep climbs in international crude benchmarks. Global oil prices had climbed sharply throughout October, with Brent futures approaching $120 a barrel amid Middle East supply concerns.
The UAE deregulated its domestic fuel market in 2015, linking consumer prices directly to global crude benchmarks and local distributor operating costs. The committee meets towards the end of each calendar month to align local retail prices with prevailing international averages.
Energy analysts note that refined product margins and domestic supply calculations enabled local price relief despite broader crude market volatility. The reduction follows a sharp 16 per cent rise in October retail prices, balancing transport expenses heading into the winter quarter.
Relief for Households and Fleet Operators
Lower fuel rates directly reduce operational expenses for logistics enterprises, ride-hailing services, and daily commuting families. Household transportation costs in major urban centres such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi will see noticeable easing over the coming weeks.
Commercial distributors confirmed that electronic pump displays and digital payment terminals across all service stations will reflect the revised tariff at midnight. Motorists are advised that all licensed service stations across the seven emirates will enforce identical pricing throughout November.
