Glo Café 3.0: Globacom Unveils AI-Powered Digital Revolution in Nigeria’s Telecom Space
Globacom has unveiled Glo Café 3.0, an AI-powered digital self-service platform that signals a major shift in how Nigerian telecom operators are competing for customer experience.

Nigeria’s telecommunications industry is entering a new phase of digital competition, and Globacom is positioning itself at the centre of that shift with the launch of Glo Café 3.0, a significantly upgraded self-service platform that combines artificial intelligence, payments, entertainment and customer care into a single mobile application.
The revamped platform forms part of Globacom’s broader “Never Settle For Less” campaign, unveiled as the company marks its 23rd anniversary. Rather than presenting the app as simply another account management tool, the telecom operator says Glo Café 3.0 is designed to become a comprehensive digital ecosystem where subscribers can manage virtually every aspect of their mobile experience in just a few taps.
At the heart of the upgrade is Gloria, Globacom’s new AI-powered voice and text assistant. The multilingual assistant supports English, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, French and Spanish, enabling customers to receive personalized recommendations, resolve service issues and navigate offers through natural conversations instead of traditional menus. The company says the feature reflects its growing investment in artificial intelligence as a customer service channel.
Beyond AI, Glo Café 3.0 introduces a streamlined interface with faster navigation, biometric login, two-factor authentication and social sign-in options through Google and Apple. Subscribers can purchase airtime and data, borrow credit, share data, settle postpaid bills, perform network speed tests, report connectivity issues and manage fibre broadband services without visiting a physical customer centre.
The commercial incentives are equally ambitious. New users who download and register on the app receive up to 100GB of bonus data, 75GB instantly and an additional 5GB monthly for five months. Customers also receive a 100% bonus on airtime recharges made through the platform, alongside exclusive app-only data bundles and an extra 10% data reward on eligible subscriptions.
Industry analysts see the launch as part of a wider transformation in Nigeria’s telecom market, where operators are increasingly competing through digital services rather than network coverage alone. As smartphone adoption and data consumption continue to rise, customer retention is becoming closely tied to seamless digital experiences, intelligent automation and integrated financial services.
Globacom has spent the past year expanding its fibre infrastructure, upgrading 4G capacity and embedding AI into its consumer products, signalling a strategic move beyond voice and data into a broader digital lifestyle proposition. The introduction of Glo Café 3.0 aligns with that vision by bringing entertainment, payments and customer support under one platform.
For Nigeria’s telecom industry, the significance extends beyond one app launch. Glo Café 3.0 reflects an evolving battle for digital loyalty, where the future will be defined not only by stronger networks but by smarter, more personalized services that keep customers connected, informed and in control of their digital lives.
