Jetour Targets Luxury SUV Buyers With X90 Plus Abuja Experience

Jetour Nigeria is set to host the Jetour Experience Abuja from September 22 to 24, 2026, showcasing its flagship Jetour X90 Plus as the Chinese automaker intensifies efforts to strengthen its position in Nigeria’s growing premium SUV market.

The three-day experiential event will give prospective buyers, automotive enthusiasts and families the opportunity to explore the seven-seater X90 Plus through hands-on demonstrations, interactive displays and test drives, alongside other models in the Jetour lineup. The Abuja edition follows the success of the brand’s earlier Jetour Experience Lagos, where strong customer interest, inquiries and sales momentum encouraged the company to expand the initiative to the Federal Capital Territory.

According to Jetour Nigeria, increasing demand from customers in Abuja and neighbouring states was a major factor behind bringing the experience to the northern market. The company sees the capital as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing destinations for executive and family SUVs, where buyers increasingly prioritize technology, comfort and value.

The Abuja Experience is expected to serve not only as a product showcase but also as a platform for customers to engage directly with the brand, compare models and experience Jetour’s ownership proposition firsthand.

Positioned as a full-sized family SUV, the Jetour X90 Plus is designed for buyers seeking a balance of space, performance and premium features without the price tag traditionally associated with luxury European brands.

The SUV is available with 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engines, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Depending on the variant, the powertrain delivers up to 254 horsepower and 390Nm of torque, offering both urban practicality and long-distance touring capability.

Inside, the X90 Plus emphasizes a technology-rich driving experience with a 12.3-inch LCD touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, Sony premium audio system, wireless phone charging and leather-appointed seating. Its safety package includes a 360-degree panoramic camera, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning and electronic stability systems.

Jetour’s expansion has been accompanied by growing recognition within Nigeria’s automotive industry. The brand was recently named Fastest Growing Auto Brand by the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA) and also received the Auto Brand of the Year award at the Nigeria Transport Lecture, reflecting its rising profile among consumers and industry stakeholders.

To support its expanding customer base, Jetour Nigeria, the brand’s sole authorized distributor, operates through seven accredited dealer partners nationwide: Elizade Nigeria Limited, Mandilas Autos, R.T. Briscoe Motors, Germaine Auto Centre, Kojo Motors, Tab Autos Limited and New Era Auto Vehicle Services Limited.

Hosting the experience in Abuja is also significant from a commercial standpoint. The city represents one of Nigeria’s strongest markets for premium automobiles, with a concentration of government officials, corporate executives and affluent professionals who increasingly influence buying patterns in the luxury and executive vehicle segment.

Industry observers say experiential marketing has become a powerful tool for automotive brands, allowing customers to evaluate ride quality, cabin comfort and technology firsthand, factors that often prove more persuasive than traditional advertising alone.

As competition intensifies among global and emerging automakers in Nigeria, the success of the Jetour X90 Plus Abuja Experience could signal how quickly new entrants can reshape consumer perceptions of premium mobility. For Jetour, the event is more than a product showcase, it is a strategic play for relevance in one of Africa’s most dynamic automotive markets.
