Apple rolls out Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade in Nigeria

Apple has expanded its iCloud+ subscription in Nigeria, giving subscribers access to Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade at no additional cost. The move introduces Apple’s premium streaming platform to Nigeria for the first time while bundling cloud storage, entertainment and gaming into a single subscription.

Starting this month, Nigerian iCloud+ subscribers will be able to back up, store and share photos, videos, files and other personal content across their Apple devices while also enjoying Apple Originals on Apple TV+ and hundreds of premium games through Apple Arcade. The expanded offering is available as part of existing iCloud+ plans rather than as a separate entertainment package.

Apple says the updated subscription is designed to simplify its services ecosystem by combining cloud storage with digital entertainment. Through Family Sharing, users can share their iCloud+ subscription, including Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade, with up to five family members, allowing households to access the services across multiple Apple devices.

“We’re excited to bring Apple TV and Apple Arcade to iCloud+ users in over 100 countries in one convenient subscription,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Services and Health. He said the bundle allows customers to securely store personal content while enjoying original storytelling and a diverse catalogue of games

The rollout marks the first official availability of Apple TV+ in Nigeria. Subscribers will gain access to Apple’s library of award-winning drama and comedy series, feature films, documentaries and family programming, with new releases added weekly.

Among the titles available are Emmy-winning comedies Ted Lasso and The Studio, the globally acclaimed thriller Severance, Apple’s drama Pluribus, the Academy Award-winning film CODA, and the blockbuster racing film F1, which Apple says has become the highest-grossing sports feature in cinema history.

The expansion also changes how the services are offered in Nigeria. Apple confirmed that Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade will no longer be available as standalone subscriptions in the country. Existing customers who already subscribe individually will be automatically migrated to the iCloud+ bundle, with uninterrupted access to both services.

For gamers, Apple says all Apple Arcade game progress and saved data will be preserved, ensuring users retain their achievements and in-game progress after the transition.

The launch underscores Apple’s growing investment in subscription services across emerging markets. By combining cloud storage, streaming and gaming into one family-friendly offering, the company is strengthening its presence in Nigeria’s rapidly expanding digital entertainment economy while making premium content more accessible to Apple users nationwide.
