Meta Launches Meta One in UAE, Bringing Premium AI to WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook

Meta has officially launched Meta One in the United Arab Emirates, introducing its most comprehensive subscription service yet with plans starting from Dh5.99 per month. The new offering brings together premium features across WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger and Meta AI, while keeping the core versions of its apps free for all users.

Unlike Meta’s earlier paid verification products, Meta One is designed as a broader digital membership for individuals, creators and businesses. The company says the subscription combines more than 50 premium features already available across its apps, with additional services, including Edits and AI-powered smart glasses integration, expected to join the platform in future updates. Meta also revealed that its subscription ecosystem has already recorded more than 15 million subscriptions and trial users globally.

AI takes centre stage

A key part of Meta One is expanded access to the company’s increasingly powerful artificial intelligence tools. Subscribers receive higher usage limits for compute-intensive AI features, including image and video generation powered by Meta’s Muse models, alongside creative editing tools such as Restyle on Instagram and advanced voice effects.

Meta said internal testing showed that more than half of early bundle subscribers regularly used both AI and creative expression features, suggesting demand extends beyond traditional social media perks into everyday content creation.

What’s included for everyday users?

Meta One builds on the single-app subscriptions launched earlier this year: Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus and WhatsApp Plus, which continue to be available individually.

Recent additions include custom fonts for Instagram Stories and direct messages, Story viewer notifications, Messenger personalization on Facebook, expanded Reels analytics, and Super Reactions for Feed and Reels posts. WhatsApp Plus will also begin testing cloud chat and media backup, alongside Focus Schedules, a feature that allows users to automatically mute or hide conversations during selected times.

Professional tools for creators and businesses

Meta is also targeting the region’s fast-growing creator economy. Business and creator bundles introduce enhanced professional profiles that can display websites, physical locations and customer reviews directly within Meta apps. Creators will benefit from a more prominent Follow button on Reels and automated invitations encouraging engaged viewers to become followers.

Businesses, meanwhile, gain expanded access to Meta Business Agent, an AI assistant designed to respond to customer enquiries around the clock. Future updates will also introduce Edits Plus, offering cloud project storage and an AI assistant capable of analyzing Instagram performance and generating content ideas.

Pricing in the UAE

Meta One is now available globally, with UAE pricing structured across individual and bundled plans:

WhatsApp Plus: Dh5.99/month

Instagram Plus: Dh7.99/month

Facebook Plus: Dh7.99/month

Meta One Core: Dh22.99/month

Meta One Premium: Dh76.99/month

Business Essential: From Dh46.99/month

Business Advanced: From Dh119/month

Business Expert: From Dh359/month

More than verification

Meta emphasized that the subscription is not a replacement for its free services. Users will continue to access WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Meta AI without paying, while Meta One unlocks additional AI capacity, creative tools, productivity features and professional capabilities for those who want an enhanced experience.

The launch signals Meta’s growing ambition to build a subscription-driven ecosystem alongside its advertising business. As AI becomes central to social media, messaging and digital commerce, Meta One positions premium artificial intelligence, not just verification, as the company’s next major consumer product.
