See the complete list of major winners from the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, where The Pitt, Widow's Bay, Jean Smart and Matthew Rhys dominated television's biggest night.

Television celebrated its finest performers and productions at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, with HBO Max's medical drama The Pitt crowned Outstanding Drama Series and Apple TV+'s breakout hit Widow's Bay taking home the top comedy prize. The ceremony, hosted by Mariska Hargitay at the Peacock Theater, honoured a year defined by bold storytelling, veteran performances and several historic milestones.
The night's biggest talking point belonged to Matthew Rhys, who became the first male actor to win two lead acting Emmys in the same year. Rhys claimed Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Widow's Bay before returning to the stage to win Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series for Netflix's The Beast in Me, cementing one of the most memorable achievements in Emmy history.
Meanwhile, Jean Smart continued her extraordinary awards streak by winning Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Hacks. The victory marked her fifth consecutive Emmy for the role, reinforcing her status as one of television's most decorated comedic performers.
In the drama categories, The Pitt dominated both the series and acting races. Noah Wyle won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his acclaimed portrayal in the medical drama, while Rhea Seehorn earned her long-awaited first Emmy as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Apple TV+'s political thriller Pluribus.
The limited series field produced another standout winner as HBO Max's DTF St. Louis captured Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. Sally Field was recognised as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for Remarkably Bright Creatures, while DTF St. Louis also secured major supporting acting honours during the Emmy weekend.
Beyond scripted television, The Traitors continued its dominance of reality TV by winning Outstanding Reality Competition Program, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert claimed the award for Outstanding Variety Series. Veteran actor Michael J. Fox received the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award in recognition of his longstanding advocacy and charitable work, drawing one of the evening's most emotional standing ovations.
