MultiChoice Nigeria will introduce new DStv and GOtv packages in Nigeria on November 5, 2026, replacing the current line-up with four tiers for each service. The company describes the change as a major product update designed to make choices clearer and bring more sports and entertainment to subscribers.
At the launch, CEO Kemi Omotosho said the aim was to give subscribers better value and access to the entertainment they enjoy. The new line-up combines African entertainment, international content and live sports, she said.
DStv’s four packages will be Starter, Select, Sports and Premium. MultiChoice announced monthly prices of ₦6,000 for Starter, ₦11,000 for Select and ₦21,000 for Sports. The launch details reviewed for this report did not state a Premium price.
Starter, the entry-level entertainment tier, adds SuperSport KICKOFF and Africa Magic+. MultiChoice says SuperSport KICKOFF will show the Premier League Match of the Week and selected UEFA Champions League matches. Africa Magic+ will offer local and international series.
Select is designed for family viewing. The company says it includes movie channels, local and international series, selected football and other sports, plus its complete children’s channel line-up.
The Sports package is aimed at football fans. It includes every Premier League and UEFA Champions League match, WWE and UFC, alongside the general entertainment channels available on Select, according to MultiChoice.
Premium adds Formula 1, MotoGP, Grand Slam tennis, golf majors and international series on M-Net to the Sports line-up.
MultiChoice also announced three refreshed movie channels: M-Net Movies+, M-Net Stars and M-Net Legends. The company says the changes will bring more blockbuster films, quicker access to new releases and fewer repeats. Detailed schedules were not included in the launch information reviewed.
GOtv’s new packages will be Easy, Starter, Select and Sports. They are due to launch on the same date as the DStv tiers. However, the announcement did not provide GOtv-specific prices or full channel lists, so those details should not be inferred from the DStv prices.
