Stars Shine at New York’s All That Glitters Diwali Ball

The Lotte New York Palace was aglow on Saturday night as the annual All That Glitters Diwali Ball brought together luminaries from film, fashion, music, and business to celebrate the Hindu festival of lights. Hosted by entrepreneur Anjula Acharia, the event honored South Asian creatives and leaders, blending cultural heritage with modern glamour.

Approximately 220 guests attended the black-tie affair, donning opulent attire that ranged from corset-style saris to velvet sherwanis. Notable attendees included actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her husband, musician Nick Jonas, who captivated attention with their coordinated ivory ensembles. Chopra accessorized with a delicate maang tikka, diamond earrings, and a white furry clutch, while Jonas complemented her in a floral-printed sherwani.

Designer Falguni Peacock showcased her creations on the red carpet, dressing celebrities such as Bozoma Saint John and Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar. Peacock noted, “The vibrant South Asian fashion industry is wonderfully showcased at this event.”

The evening featured live performances, including a dance presentation by AATMA Performing Arts, and a philanthropic fundraising initiative. Acharia emphasized the event’s mission, stating, “Each year, we gather not just to honor our heritage, but to create space for South Asian voices, champion global causes, and build bridges through community, creativity, and purpose.”

The All That Glitters Diwali Ball continues to serve as a platform for celebrating South Asian culture and fostering unity among diverse communities.
