Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray End Coaching Partnership Ahead of French Open

Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray have concluded their six-month coaching partnership just under two weeks before the 2025 French Open. The collaboration, which began in November 2024, aimed to rejuvenate Djokovic’s performance following his Olympic gold victory. While the duo achieved notable results, including a semifinal appearance at the Australian Open and a runner-up finish in Miami, recent inconsistent performances led to the decision to part ways 

A Mutual Decision

Both Djokovic and Murray expressed mutual respect and gratitude upon announcing the split. Djokovic took to social media, thanking Murray for his “hard work, fun & support” over the past six months and highlighting the deepened friendship between them . Murray reciprocated the sentiment, expressing appreciation for the opportunity to work together and wishing Djokovic the best for the remainder of the season .

Looking Ahead

Following the end of their partnership, Djokovic is set to compete in the Geneva Open as he prepares for the French Open. Murray, having retired from professional tennis, will return to his post-playing endeavors, including potential media and theater projects .
