The commitment includes the construction of an office for its subsidiary, MTN Benin, reflecting the company’s dedication to contributing to the country’s progress.

The announcement was made during a visit by an MTN Group leadership delegation to Cotonou, where they met with President Patrice Talon. The delegation, led by MTN Group president and CEO Ralph Mupita, expressed confidence in the prospects of Benin and its commitment to playing a pivotal role in the nation’s development.

President Patrice Talon commended the MTN delegation for their commitment and expressed interest in future collaborations. MTN Benin, with approximately eight million users, is celebrating a quarter-century of existence, making the commitment even more significant. The delegation included key figures such as MTN Benin Chairman Amadou Raimi, Senior Vice President for Markets Ebenezer Asante, MTN Benin CEO Uche Ofodile, and MTN Group Chief Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Officer Nompilo Morafo.
