Lord’s Chosen Church Responds to Viral Mockery of Testimonies.

The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has officially addressed the growing online mockery of several viral testimonies shared by its members. The church strongly condemned the ridicule and clarified the authenticity of these testimonies, emphasizing that it would never endorse falsified accounts.

Church’s Stance on Viral Videos

The church urged Nigerians to be cautious about the information they come across on the internet, stating that not everything should be accepted at face value. It noted that many of the viral testimonies had been taken out of context by bloggers and edited to provoke controversy.

The Testimonies Under Scrutiny

Several testimonies shared by church members gained widespread attention, with many internet users finding them difficult to believe. One testimony involved a man claiming he was saved by a lion. In his account, he described being carried by an unseen force, later revealed to be a lion, which safely guided him away from danger.

In another viral testimony, a woman stated that she fought off armed robbers and managed to seize their AK-47 rifles. According to her account, she was able to arrest three of the robbers during the altercation.

Additionally, a male member testified about surviving a kidnapping, machete attacks, and gunshot wounds without suffering any injuries, leaving many viewers skeptical of the account.

Church’s Response to Mockery

In response to these viral stories, the Lord’s Chosen Church declared that the footage had been doctored by malicious actors. Pastor Chidi Louis, the Head of Public Relations and Media for the church, described the videos as an attempt to discredit the work of God. He called on Nigerians to seek out the full testimonies on the church’s official platform for a more accurate representation of events.

Misrepresentation by Bloggers

Pastor Louis emphasized that some bloggers deliberately edited the testimonies to deceive viewers. He explained that one viral testimony, where a woman claimed to defeat armed men, had been misunderstood. In the full account, the woman was actually describing a dream, not a real-life event. The church labeled the viral clips as “fake” and designed to ridicule the work of God.

Call for Discretion

The church advised the public to be wary of accepting sensationalized content online. It called for discernment, particularly with testimonies that may appear extraordinary. The Lord’s Chosen Church reiterated its commitment to genuine faith experiences and disavowed any form of deceitful presentation.

The Bigger Picture

The viral testimonies and their subsequent mockery have sparked debates about the credibility of faith-based accounts and how they are perceived in the public domain. The church has used this incident as a teaching moment, cautioning against the dangers of manipulated content and encouraging people to look deeper into spiritual matters.
