Commissioner Adebola, while addressing the media at the state police command, announced that Mukaila would be charged in court. He emphasized the extensive efforts made by law enforcement agencies, including discreet intelligence-led searches, technology, collaborative efforts with sister services, and community policing, which led to the suspect’s arrest.
Recovered Exhibits
During the arrest, various exhibits were recovered from Mukaila’s possession at his Diamond Hotel residence in Alakia-Isebo Egbeda, under Egbeda Local Government Area. The recovered items included firearms such as an AK-47 rifle, pump-action rifles, pistols, cut-to-size guns, as well as ammunition, cartridges, knives, mobile phones, laptops, charms, and vehicles. A significant sum of cash was also seized.
Legal Proceedings
Adebola confirmed that Mukaila would face charges in court for the offenses he allegedly committed. He stressed the importance of moving forward with legal action to ensure justice is served.
