Social media is buzzing over the extravagant display at the premiere of Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao’s highly anticipated movie, Owambe Thieves — particularly the unveiling of a jaw-dropping, gigantic cake that left fans stunned.
According to Kemi Filani, the movie premiere took place on Sunday and saw a star-studded turnout, including top names in the entertainment industry such as Fausat Balogun (Mama No Network), Itele, Skales, Ashmusy, Boye Best, Odunlade Adekola, Wumi Toriola, Kamo State, Zubby Michael, Ayo Makun, K1, Egungun, Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Aigbe, and many more.
One of the most talked-about moments of the night was the massive cake unveiled at the event — a spectacle that quickly went viral online.
Reacting to the cake, fans took to social media to share their amazement:

Last year, however, wasn’t without its challenges for the actress. Her first cinema movie release sparked controversy after she awarded Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky the title of Best Dressed Female at the premiere — a move that drew significant backlash.
In an interview with Arise News TV, Eniola explained that her decision was intentional. She admitted it was a publicity stunt and a marketing strategy aimed at generating buzz for the film, acknowledging Bobrisky’s controversial nature made him the perfect choice for such a tactic.
Seeking to make amends, Ajao later awarded two other guests, Bose Alao and another attendee, the title of Best Dressed Female, gifting each of them ₦1 million as a gesture of goodwill.
With Owambe Thieves now making waves, and the premiere turning heads for all the right reasons, it’s safe to say that Eniola Ajao is indeed living up to her promise of a blockbuster year.
