“At This Point in My Life, If I Have the Opportunity to Marry as a Second, Third, or Fourth Wife, I’d Take It” – Toke Makinwa

Media personality Toke Makinwa has opened up about her willingness to settle down as a second, third, or even fourth wife.

In a recent episode of her podcast, Toke Moments, she shared her thoughts on marriage, stating that at this point in her life, if the opportunity arose, she would not hesitate to marry as a second, third, or fourth wife. She said, “At this point in my life, if I have the opportunity to marry again, as a second, third, fourth, or fifth wife, I will take it.”

Toke had previously discussed her experience of being single and childless at 40. Reflecting on her journey, she admitted that had she remarried, she likely would have ended up divorced again, as the lessons from her past relationships were ongoing. However, Toke emphasized that she does not allow herself to dwell on pity, instead choosing to focus on her achievements and the love that surrounds her.

Toke Makinwa was once married to fitness expert Maje Ayinde, but their marriage ended in 2016 after two years due to allegations of adultery. Opening up about her failed marriage, she revealed how she was unfairly blamed for its collapse, despite her ex-husband fathering a child with another woman. She explained how the public had their own versions of what went wrong in her marriage, leaving her feeling traumatized, even though she was the victim.

In June, Toke responded to a troll who mocked her for still being unmarried. The troll had claimed that she was now in her “unmarried era” after passing the “single era.” Toke hit back, saying that God would eventually bless her with her own marriage, and the troll would be there to congratulate her when it happens.

Additionally, Toke addressed the misconception that she is against men or marriage, explaining that she loves both. She clarified that she is a strong advocate for marriage, stating that “2 is better than 1.”
