Lutes, a songwriter in his own right, popped the question with a stunning bespoke pear-shaped diamond ring, crafted by luxury jeweler Material Good.
“Personal and intimate,” their proposal paved the way for a celebratory family dinner at Craig’s, a favorite Los Angeles haunt for the soon-to-be-weds. And it’s no surprise, love seems to radiate from these two. Just look at Jutes’ birthday tribute to Lovato this past August, overflowing with adoration and laughter.
Their creative connection transcends “Substance,” with Lutes co-writing “Happy Ending” and “City of Angels” for Lovato’s latest album, “Holy Fvck.” And with Lovato’s recent declaration of contentment to CBS Mornings, saying she’s “definitely in a really good place” and feeling “happy,” perhaps a future album brimming with “sappy love songs” isn’t too far off.
Lovato shared the secret to their success with SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up, simply stating they were “friends first and foremost.” Building a solid foundation of friendship before taking the plunge seems to be working beautifully for this talented duo.
