Bobrisky Clarifies Misconceptions About His Jail Term

Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has addressed the ongoing controversy regarding his recent time spent in a correctional facility. In an interview with influencer Isbae, Bobrisky firmly rejected the label of “ex-convict,” emphasizing that his time was spent in a correctional center, not a prison.

“I Am Not an Ex-Convict”

Bobrisky was clear in his assertion that he should not be considered an ex-convict. He explained that his sentence was related to Naira abuse, and not for a crime that should warrant the label of an ex-convict. He insisted that spraying his own money at events should not have led to his sentencing, adding that he will continue to spray money, but will now focus on dollars instead of Naira.

A Correctional Center, Not a Prison

Bobrisky shared his experience at the correctional center, describing it as a form of “vacation.” He mentioned that while the authorities might have intended to break his spirit, the time he spent there had no such effect. Instead, he used the time to rest and recharge, stating that he was still strong and in good spirits after his release.

Enjoying His Time at the Male Correctional Center

In a surprising revelation, Bobrisky disclosed that he spent his jail term at a male correctional center, and he actually enjoyed the experience. He noted that being the only person of his kind at the center meant that he received special attention and care from the other inmates. He humorously added that if he had been placed in the female section, he would not have had as much fun.

Rejecting Claims of VIP Treatment

Bobrisky dismissed rumors that he was given special treatment during his time at the correctional center. He insisted that he was held in the same conditions as other inmates and was not placed in any VIP corner. He further explained that during his time with the EFCC, he was held in the female cell, contrasting it with his experience in the male correctional center.
