The Palms in Lekki morphed into a musical oasis, buzzing with excitement from the moment guests ā a dazzling mix of media personalities, influencers, and music industry heavyweights ā mingled with enthusiastic fans, all primed for a night of unforgettable sounds.
Dynamic duo Jerry Shafer and MIA kicked off the festivities as charismatic hosts, igniting the night with their infectious energy. The dance floor quickly transformed into a sea of pulsating bodies, swaying to the year’s hottest tracks spun by resident DJ Tohbad. The diverse playlist ensured everyone found their groove, setting the stage for a night of uninhibited revelry.
As the night unfolded, the tempo ramped up with DJ Consequence’s electrifying set. His contagious rhythms and vibrant vibes set the atmosphere ablaze, perfectly priming the crowd for the musical odyssey to come. The lineup boasted a captivating blend of emerging talents and established stars, showcasing the depth and breadth of Afrobeats.
Opening act YKB set the stage with his energetic performance, followed by the serenading vocals of Spotify’s EQUAL artist, Qing Madi. Her soulful melodies brought a touch of tranquility, before Ghanaian songstress Gyakie took the stage, captivating the audience with her emotionally charged performance.
Then, the energy soared as Adekunle Gold, affectionately known as AG Baby, took center stage. Embodying his signature style, he delivered an exceptional performance with his five-piece live band, leaving the crowd mesmerized.
But the night’s crescendo arrived with the incomparable Davido, aka 001 to his devoted fans. As he launched into hit after hit, the crowd erupted. Fans sang along, danced, and jumped, unable to resist the irresistible rhythms of his music. A special highlight came when his new signees, Logos Olori and Morravey, joined him on stage to perform tracks from his Grammy-nominated “TIMELESS” album, creating a truly unforgettable experience.
