Sarah Idaji Ojone, widely known as Saida Boj, a popular TikTok personality, has recently lost access to her TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram accounts following a series of controversial remarks about men and relationships.
Controversial Statements on the Honest Bunch Podcast
As a guest on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Saida Boj made headlines with her bold assertions about the expectations she has from men during the ‘talking stage’. She declared that a man would need to send her N500,000 within 24 hours of initiating contact, stating that she deserved to be compensated for her beauty.
Defending Her Statements
When asked if this amounted to selling her body, Saida Boj stood her ground, claiming that a man willing to give her N20 million could “enter anywhere” in her body. She elaborated on her high expectations, saying:
“I don’t have time, life is stressful. If you’re talking to me in the morning, I’m already billing you by evening. If you don’t have the money, then you go. You should give me at least N500k. You should pay me for being beautiful. Do you know how much skincare costs?”
Backlash from Celebrities and Netizens
Her statements did not sit well with many, leading to a flood of criticism from celebrities such as Erigga and Dat Warri Girl, as well as a wave of backlash from netizens across various social media platforms. This intense criticism eventually led to her being banned from TikTok, Instagram, and, most recently, Facebook.
Response to the Social Media Ban
Undeterred by the bans, Saida Boj took to a new Facebook account to post another video. In it, she expressed that she is accustomed to being banned from social media platforms and addressed her critics directly:
“I’m used to being banned from social media. My haters should pray to have a child like me instead of fighting me. The money is justified because I deserve to be paid for being beautiful.”
Reiterating Her Views
Saida Boj reiterated her stance, emphasizing the high value she places on herself and her time:
“If you can spend up to N20 million in a week, you can go through anywhere in my body. N20 million, N50 million, that’s money. If you can’t spend up to N500k, you don’t deserve my WhatsApp number.”
The saga of Saida Boj continues to spark debate online, with many questioning her views on relationships and monetary expectations. Despite the bans and backlash, she remains steadfast in her controversial beliefs and continues to find ways to voice them.
