Ambulance Driver’s Account: Hazim Masarwa, an ambulance driver, described the scene: “Undercover forces raided the area suddenly and they were firing at any moving body in the street. They were targeting anything moving.”

Heavy-tracked armored bulldozers were seen tearing up streets near the city center, protected by Israeli forces in at least 20 vehicles. As night fell, sounds of firing and explosions could still be heard, although the intensity of the clashes had diminished.

Among the seven killed were a doctor and a teacher who were on their way to work, as well as a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old. The identities of the other deceased and the nine injured were not immediately known as the operation continued into the morning.
Hospital Director’s Statement: Wissam Baker, the director of Jenin Hospital, reported that the hospital was surrounded and expressed concern about the tough hours ahead. He also noted that a specialist surgeon at the hospital was among those killed.
