Obinna Tochuukwu Iyiegbu, better known as Obi Cubana, is a prominent Nigerian entrepreneur, philanthropist, and entertainer. Born on April 12, 1975, in Anambra State, Nigeria, he is the chairman of the Cubana Group, a conglomerate known for its hospitality and entertainment ventures.
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Obi Cubana was born into a family of scholars in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State. He attended Central Primary School for his early education and later Dennis Memorial Grammar School for his secondary education. He furthered his studies at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1998.

Obi Cubana’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2006 when he founded Ibiza Club, a nightclub in Abuja. In 2009, he expanded his business ventures by establishing Cubana, a hospitality club in Owerri, Imo State. Over the years, he has diversified his business interests, leading to the establishment of various establishments under the Cubana Group umbrella, including Opium By Cubana, The Grind by Cubana, and Cubana Signature, among others.
