Zaya Wade Graduates High School: Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union Celebrate Her Journey With Love and Pride

Zaya Wade, the trailblazing daughter of NBA legend Dwyane Wade, has officially graduated from high school and her proud family is beaming with pride.

On June 14, Zaya walked the graduation stage to applause, cheers, and heartfelt tributes from her family. Stepmom Gabrielle Union shared a touching message to commemorate Zaya’s big day. “Zaya, you’ve closed this chapter with such grace and courage,” Union wrote in a joint Instagram post with Wade. “Watching you bloom into the brilliant, bold, and beautiful young woman you are has been a true gift.”

Her message continued with encouragement for the next chapter: “May college be your canvas and the world, your masterpiece.”

The post featured a joyful carousel of moments: Zaya receiving her diploma, winning the prestigious Head of School Award, and celebrating alongside her siblings—Zaire, Xavier, Kaavia—and cousin Dahveon Morris. For the ceremony, Zaya wore a sleek black and white dress under her gown, later changing into a chic white knit dress for post-grad festivities.

In her own words, Zaya simply captioned a clip from the graduation stage: “I did it.”

Her milestone comes just weeks after she dazzled at prom in a lace and tulle gown, sharing black-and-white snapshots that captured her grace and individuality. And through it all, her father Dwyane Wade has remained her most vocal supporter.

“We love you,” Wade commented on her graduation post—words that carry more weight given Zaya’s journey as a transgender teen navigating fame, family, and self-discovery.

In a February interview with Seventeen, Zaya praised her father’s unwavering support: “As an African American male, to be so openly and outwardly accepting… it’s a gift. I hope it inspires others to learn and understand queerness before bashing it.”

Zaya’s graduation is a celebration not just of academic success but of courage, self-expression, and the unbreakable bonds of family love. Congratulations to the Class of 2025—and especially to Zaya, who continues to inspire a generation with authenticity and grace.
