FRSC Deploys 200 Mobile Courts Nationwide to Enforce Traffic Laws During Easter

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has initiated a nationwide operation by establishing over 200 mobile courts to prosecute traffic offenders during the 2025 Easter celebrations. This proactive measure aims to ensure safer roads and promote responsible driving across Nigeria.

Purpose of the Mobile Courts

The primary goal of these mobile courts is to address and penalize traffic violations promptly, reducing the risk of accidents and promoting road safety during the busy Easter period.

Operational Period and Monitoring

The mobile courts will operate from April 17 to April 23, 2025, coinciding with the Easter holiday travel period. A Situation Room has been set up at the FRSC National Headquarters to monitor activities in real-time, ensuring swift responses to incidents and coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Collaboration with Other Agencies

To enhance the effectiveness of this operation, the FRSC is collaborating with various agencies, including:

Nigeria Police Force

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)

Department of State Services (DSS)

State Traffic Management Agencies

This collaboration ensures comprehensive enforcement and support throughout the operation.

Public Awareness and Compliance

Motorists are urged to adhere to traffic regulations, avoid distractions, and ensure their vehicles are in good condition. By complying with traffic laws, drivers contribute to safer roads and a more enjoyable Easter holiday for all.

The establishment of 200 mobile courts by the FRSC during the Easter period underscores the commitment to enhancing road safety and ensuring that traffic laws are enforced effectively. Through this initiative, the FRSC aims to reduce traffic-related incidents and promote responsible driving nationwide.
