The Lagos State Government has announced that several major roads will be closed for eight hours to facilitate the smooth running of the Lagos City Marathon. The highly anticipated sporting event, scheduled to take place this weekend, will see thousands of athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and spectators gather in the city.

The affected roads will be closed from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, during which motorists will be required to use alternative routes. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has advised residents and commuters to plan their journeys ahead of time to avoid unnecessary delays.

Third Mainland Bridge
Ikorodu Road
Awolowo Road, Ikoyi
Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island
Lekki-Epe Expressway (up to Lekki Phase 1 Gate)
To minimize inconvenience, designated alternative routes will be provided, and traffic personnel will be deployed to manage the flow of vehicles.
