Details of the Accident

The Ghana National Fire Service reports that the accident occurred near Nobewam, off the Kumasi-Accra highway, resulting in injuries to eight victims, including Second Lady Samira Bawumia.

Prompt Response

The Konongo-Odumasi Fire Station promptly dispatched a rescue team led by STNO II Odjer Jonathan upon receiving the distress call. The team arrived at the scene to find a collision involving multiple vehicles.

Rescue Efforts

Passersby had already rescued four victims, quickly transporting them to the hospital for medical attention. The damaged vehicles include two Toyota Land Cruisers, a Mercedes Benz C180, and a Benz Sprinter.

Ongoing Investigation

Preliminary investigations by the GNFS reveal significant damage to the vehicles involved. The police investigation aims to determine the sequence of events leading up to the accident.
