Female Secondary School Student Stabs Colleague to Death in Ondo State

Tragedy struck in Akoko Anglican Grammar School, Arigidi, Ondo State, as a senior secondary school student, Habib Salau, was stabbed to death by a fellow student identified simply as Sandra. The shocking incident occurred after school hours, following a fight between the two students.

Fight Between Students Leads to Fatal Stabbing

Eyewitnesses reported that the altercation between Habib and Sandra escalated during a scuffle, resulting in Sandra fatally stabbing Habib with a knife. The incident, which took place last Thursday, has left the school and local community in shock.

Involvement of Another School in the Attack

Further investigation revealed that Sandra admitted to using a knife provided by a student from Ajiroke Technical School. This has raised concerns about the involvement of students from other schools in the tragic event.

Response from the School and Authorities

Teachers and students at Akoko Anglican Grammar School are reeling from the tragedy, with one teacher describing the incident as deeply tragic and causing widespread panic. The body of the deceased has been taken to the Specialist Hospital mortuary in Ikare.

Police Investigation Underway

Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the incident and stated that the case has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for a detailed investigation. She assured that the investigation would thoroughly examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing.
